Edoardo MonacoDr. Edoardo Monaco is an international development and sustainability specialist based in China, serving as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Social Sciences at Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU). Originally from Italy over the past 20 years he has worked and conducted research across Asia, the Pacific, and beyond, exploring the “innovation-growth-nature” interplay and actively promoting holistic development governance via sustainable resource management, social inclusion, and economic diversification. His main focus lies on the development trajectories of landlocked developing countries (LLDCs), least developed countries (LDCs), and small island developing states (SIDS). Dr. Monaco frequently contributes to global media outlets and regularly consults for prominent firms, international organisations and think tanks.
