Her deep connection to her Puerto Rican heritage is intertwined with her strong 34-year marriage to Francisco Isaac, also a native of the island. Together, they have the joy of raising their four beloved children: Charaliz, Krystaliz, Angeliz, and Nathiel Isaac.A passion for writing has been a constant in Edna's life. Her literary journey began in the 1980s with the publication of her first book of poems. After publishing two more works, her entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish her own publishing house, JDN Publications. Through this platform, Edna has not only brought her own stories to life but has also dedicated herself to helping new authors realize their literary dreams, even extending support to those with limited resources in other countries.With a career that includes over 13 authored literary works and two co-authored titles, Edna has developed a clear purpose in her writing: to be a beacon of hope for diverse populations facing suffering and significant challenges. A notable example of her impact is her book "El Silencio No Funciona" (Silence Doesn't Work), which has become a powerful support for campaigns against domestic violence. Her innovative vision also led her to create a line of educational books under the EDUCATE Publishing imprint, launched through JDN Publications. This initiative birthed the brand "Challenging My Ego," which focuses on emotional intelligence, recognizing its vital importance in children's development.With profound social sensitivity, Edna and a team of volunteers have distributed thousands of copies of her works to underprivileged children in India, Africa, and the United States. "Challenging My Ego" has evolved into a curriculum designed for public schools and children's organizations, offering a five-week intensive learning program for the summer or year-round.
