Edgar Wallace
Richard Horatio Edgar Wallace (1875-1932) was a highly prolific British crime writer, playwright, screen writer, and journalist. Wallace is credited with over 170 novels, and more than 950 short stories, including the Sanders of te River books, and the Mr JG Reeder series. As a screenwriter, he wrote the screenplay for the first 'talkie' version of The Hound of the Baskervilles; and shortly before his death he completed the first draft of the script for RKO's 1932 monster picture King Kong.
