Dylan C BeckDylan C. Beck earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Kansas under the advice of Hailong Dao in May 2022; his thesis is most concisely described as abstract nonsense, but it enjoys the complete title of Combinatorial and Homological Asects of Monomial Algebras and Numerical Semigroups. Beyond academia, Beck has historically found immense pleasure, intense relief, and resounding joy in the arts as a balm for the human condition. Cultivating a universe of prose and song over twenty years, Beck has released countless studio recordings under his homespun label For Love of Carlo as a multi-instrumentalist and founding member of A Real Echoey Approach, Carlo dell'Aquila, Heidi Klum's Bangs, Thee Children of Light, and Two Cellophane Maps. Beck celebrated his multimedia debut Our Only Way Is Through at the Goppert Gallery in Leavenworth, Kansas, in March 2026. Beck holds the title of Junior Host at Poetic Underground KC, where he facilitates free workshops, runs sound, and serves on the Community Events Committee.
