Duncan Forbes
Duncan Forbes is a former senior executive in the public and charitable sectors whose later work has focused on the relationship between palliative care, spirituality, and environmental responsibility. Before retirement he held a number of leadersip roles, including service in NHS management, as a college bursar, and as the director of a hospice. These experiences informed his interest in the pastoral, ethical, and spiritual dimensions of both end-of-life care and the climate crisis. He is the author of An Ecology of the Heart: Faith through the Climate Crisis (SLG Press, 2023), which explores how Christian faith might respond to the personal and communal challenges posed by environmental change. His work brings together practical experience of care, theological reflection, and concern for the future of the natural world.
