Duncan CurtisDuncan Curtis was born on England's south coast and now lives in Wiltshire. He is now retired from a life spent working in the aerospace industry, a quarter century in the Royal Air Force being followed by a further nineteen years in airliner manufacure. An F-86 Sabre enthusiast before he had reached his teens, Duncan began more actively researching the type when he began full-time employment in the early 1980s; as a result, he was able to engage with many people who were involved in the early days of the Sabre. Several magazine articles followed, and in 2000 he was able to publish his first F-86 monograph; six further books have followed, mainly concentrating on his love of the Sabre. Aside from researching and compiling books, Duncan has also served as a resource for scale aircraft model manufacturers and continues to provide advice for a number of Sabre kits which are due to be released in the coming years. Additionally he has assisted in several full-sized F-86 restorations worldwide. Read More Read Less
