Dr Birendra Kumar TamtaProfessor (Dr.) Birendra Kumar Tamta, after obtaining a Bachelor of Ayurveda degree from Shri Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, was selected and enrolled for an MD degree at Rajasthan University, Jaipur, Rajasthan and again obtainedan MD degree after selection at Shri Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. After this, he worked as a Medical Officer in various hospitals of the Uttarakhand Government. After being selected for the post of Assistant Professor by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, Haridwar, Uttarakhand he was appointed by the Uttarakhand Government to teach Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana at the Uttarakhand Ayurveda University Gurukul Campus, Haridwar. During this period, on the basis of the inspiration of his teachers, parents, his intellect, dedication, experience and research, many research papers, articles and books have been published in various journals. He has published books including Handbook of Ayurvedic Medicine, Aushadhi Yoga Sangrah, Ayurvedic Rasashastra, Bhaishajya Kalpana Questions and Options, Rasashastra's Questions and Options, Aushadhi Nirmaan Vigyaan Aur Aushadhi Prayog Vigyaan and a chapter edit in Naee Sadee ka Bhaarat Mudde, Vikalp aur Neetiyon.
