Douglas Houck

Douglas Houck and his wife Nancy live in the Historic District of Punta Gorda. He is the author of four published books: The Legacy, The Visionary, For Fame and Glory, and the Illustrated History of Chautauqua County, te county where he grew up in western New York. Doug holds a Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Fredonia, two Master's Degrees, and a Doctorate from the SUNY at Buffalo. Dr. Houck is a member of the Florida Writer's Association and the President of the Peace River Center for Writers at Edison State College. He will serve as the principal writer of the book and will work with a research, writing, and editorial team selected from the membership of the Peace River Center for Writers.
