As well as a monograph on Samuel Taylor Coleridge: Coleridge, Philosophy, and Religio: Aids to Reflection and the Mirror of the Spirit (Cambridge University Press, 2000), Hedley has written a three-volume work on the religious imagination: Living Forms of the Imagination (T&T Clark, 2008); Sacrifice Imagined: Violence, Atonement, and the Sacred (Continuum, 2011); and The Iconic Imagination (Bloomsbury, 2016).
