Donald Greig

Donald Greig is a travel writer and publisher based in southern Scotland. He has spent much of his life travelling in the UK and overseas and still finds that nothing beats the fascination of discovering and learning about new places. Having livedin various countries around the world, he returned to his native Scotland in 2014 to write the Bradt guide to Dumfries and Galloway. He has written for a range of newspapers and magazines, including Independent on Sunday, Wanderlust and Countryfile, and he has written or worked for a range of travel publishers in the UK and Australia, including Rough Guides, Dorling Kindersley and Thomas Cook. Between 2007 and 2014 he was Managing Director of Bradt Travel Guides, curating an endlessly fascinating list of guidebooks to destinations worldwide.
