Dixy Lee Ray

Dixy Lee Ray (1914-1994) was a marine biologist. In 1973 she was appointed by Richard Nixon to chair the US Atomic Energy Commission, the first woman to be so appointed. She was elected governor of Washington in 1976. She is the athor of Environmental Overkill.
