Dillip Kumar DasDillip Kumar Das is currently working as an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Tourism Management, Sikkim Central University, India. He has been awarded a PhD in the year 2008 in Tourism from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on te topic “Economic, Socio Cultural, and Environmental Impact of Tourism: A Case Study on Puri, Konark, and Bhubaneswar.” He has completed a Masters in Tourism Management (MTM) from IGNOU, and also two times Qualified UGC-NET (National Eligibility test for Lectureship) in December 2003 and in 2004. He has completed a Masters degree in Economics, from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, and also completed a Diploma in Tourism Management, from Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, Bhubaneswar, Orissa. His areas of research interest are eco-tourism, tourism impact studies, and travel agency management. He has altogether 15 years of academic experience in tourism education.
