Dilip V Subhedar""Dilip V Subhedar was born on 24th August 1948 at Karad, in Maharashtra State. He did his M. E. (Electronics & Telecomm.) from the College of Engineering, Pune, in January 1973 and joined the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad, a Unit of ept. Of Space, Govt. Of India in May 1973. Here, he got opportunities to work on the prestigious space and ground-based facilities of ISRO, India. He worked on the Anuradha Cosmic Ray Detector payload that was flown on NASA's Space Shuttle Challenger in 1985. He visited and worked at NASA centres during this mission. He was Engineer-in-Charge of PRL's Gurushikhar Astronomy Observatory, Mt Abu, during 1994-2004. Later, he worked on the High Energy X-Ray Detector payload that was flown on Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft during India's first Moon Mission in 2008. He also worked in the fields of Artificial intelligence, Computer Data Networks and the various segments of Space Technology. He retired from PRL in 2010.
