Dick HonorDick Honor has had three careers - as a teacher in Queensland, a naval officer for 14 years and then as an international publisher. He was the founding CEO of the tax and business law publisher CCH Australia Limited and in 1992 went to Chicago to be he head of CCH's international operations.

Starting cryptic puzzles well into his retirement, Honor realised that they are not impenetrable as they first seem. Knowing how enjoyable a pastime they are, he decided to write this book using his own learning experience to help others get started.
