Dexter Sharod TarverI was born in Miami Dade County (Brown Sub), Florida. My family relocated in the mid 80's to Carol City which is now known as Miami Gardens A.K.A "Murder Gardens" as it is known to the streets. I wasn't raised as a street dude. I chose it for my way f life. As a young kid, I always was two steps ahead of the game. Doing my teenage years, I mastered the game but like every other young soldier I chose to take another route which costed me 27 years of my life in the belly of the beast (PRISON). On September 13, 1988, I was convicted of first degree murder, along with five other juveniles. I was sentence to life in prison for a murder I didn't committed. I used my time wisely and created my thoughts on paper to write this book. I wrote the Deck of Life has been Re-shuffled over 17 years ago and just decided it was time to give the world a little taste of my story. I was released from Prison on 12/02/2014, moved to Tampa, FL for about a year then relocated to Alabama after marrying my wife, Quibby.
