Deric ShannonDeric Shannon is Associate Professor of Sociology at Emory University's Oxford College. He completed his PhD at the University of Connecticut in Sociology with a graduate certificate in Women's Studies. His current teaching and research centrs on global political economy, the sociology of food, sustainability, and ecology.
