Derek H C Wilton

A native of St. John's, Dr. Derek Wilton received BSc and PhD degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador and an MSc from the University of British Columbia. Derek is an Honorary Research Professor at MUN (after 35 years as profesor in Earth Sciences) and a part-time Faculty Researcher at College of the North Atlantic. His research centres on the study of mineral deposits, geochemistry, and the history of geological exploration, mainly in Newfoundland and Labrador, and he has published numerous academic papers and reports. He is a Fellow of Geoscientists Canada and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.
