Debra WilliamsAuthor Debra Williams was groomed from childhood by her grandmother to be the family historian. She gathered personal histories as far back as the mid-1600s and then, in her 60s, compiled them for the family. In doing so, patterns emerged. Patterns o not only herself but both of her parents, their parents, and their parents, and so on. Each crossed unaccepted cultural boundaries of their respective time, namely among so many other things, intermarriages. Those who have experienced intermarriages know of the struggle it can be for them and their children.
