Deborah PadgettDEBORAH K. PADGETT, is Associate Professor at the School of Social Work, New York University. She received a doctorate in cultural anthropology in 1979 and completed post-doctoral work in stress and mental health at Columbia University in 1986. She srved on the Editorial Board of The Gerontologist (1990-1994), and has written about ethnicity, aging, and mental health services.
