Deborah MeyerShe began writing children's stories for her three children when they were young but drifted away as the day-to-day demands of work and family pulled her attention elsewhere. She enjoyed an eclectic career. She began as an RN, then followed her love o words into freelance writing for a newspaper in Flint, Michigan. A move to Athens, Ohio - home to Ohio University - led to 25 wonderful years in faculty and administrative roles, where she thrived on teaching, creating new programs, traveling, and getting to know students and faculty from all over the world. She retired in 2019 and slowly found her way back to writing children's stories. After years of writing technical, structured documents, letting go of that structured mindset took time - but now she revels in playful flights of fantasy. She mostly writes for ages 4-8, though she's also exploring short stories for slightly older children. Her first published book is A Doubtful Place for Certain. She hopes you enjoy reading it as much as she enjoyed creating it. Read More Read Less
