Deborah Johnson

Deborah Johnson was born below the Mason-Dixon Line and has lived in San Francisco and in Rome, Italy, where she worked as a translator and editor of doctoral theses and at Vatican Radio. She is the author of The Air Between U, which received the Mississippi Library Association Award for fiction, and The Secret of Magic, which won the Harper Lee Prize for Legal Fiction. She is an instructor of creative writing for Stanford University's Continuing Studies Program and now lives in Columbus, Mississippi.
