Walter De Bondt is Emeritus Professor at Ghent University and at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). He holds a Ph.D. in Law (Ghent University, 1982), LL.M. (UC Berkeley, 1978), and Licentiate in Law (Ghent University, 1973). He taught course on contracts and on comparative law. His research mainly focused on the formation of contracts, the precontractual process, the consent of the parties and the free will of a patient asking for euthanasia.
