Davies Gilbert
Davies Gilbert (1767-1839) was a British engineer, author, and politician. He served as the President of the Royal Society and was known for his contributions to science and literature. Gilbert's interest in Cornwall's history and culture led to te publication of "The Parochial History of Cornwall," a seminal work on the region's heritage.
