David SoperDr David Soper is a lecturer in vehicle aerodynamics at the University of Birmingham. His research interests lie in the field of applied fluid dynamics and engineering applications through vehicle aerodynamics, with particular expertise in experimentl investigations, both at model and full scale. He completed his PhD in the field of freight train aerodynamics before taking up a research position to manage the University of Birmingham moving model TRansient Aerodynamic INvestigation (TRAIN) rig. Since becoming a lecturer in 2017 he has carried out a range of projects in academia for EPSRC and BBSRC, as well as industrial funded projects for many organisations including Arup, High Speed 2, Network Rail High Speed, Railway Accident Investigation Branch and Bombardier.
