David Sklansky David Sklansky is the author of 14 books about poker, gambling, and strategy. His best known book, The Theory of Poker, which was written about 40 years ago, is still considered the most important book on the subject. Sklansky has won thre World Series of Poker bracelets along with dozens of other poker tournaments as well as other types of gambling tournaments. He has consulted with several casino companies and is the holder of five patents. In addition, he invented the game that was to become Caribbean Stud and testified in front of Clinton s Presidential Gambling Commission.
