David Lloyd OwenDavid Lloyd Owen was commissioned into the Queen’s Royal Regiment in 1938 and was serving in Palestine at the outbreak of the Second World War. He joined the Long Range Desert Group in 1941 and remained with them until the end of the war, becoming th unit’s last commanding officer in 1943.
