David Lavar CoyDavid Lavar Coy earned his B.A. in literature from the University of Wyoming and his M.F.A. in creative writing from the University of Arkansas. In 1982 he won an Academy of American Poets award and two INTRO awards. He was one of twelve Arizona poet featured in a showcase sponsored by the Associated Writing Programs, and he read in the Southwest Border Writers series in 2003.
