David King Et AlDavid's poems have been published in a range of magazines. Originally from London, he has two grown up children and two grandchildren. For many years, following retirement, he spent each Autumn and Winter doing voluntary work in Penang (Malaysia). Alng with his partner, Vera, he sang in two Malaysian choirs, taught English, provided music therapy sessions for a stroke association and wrote poetry whenever there was time! Following the 2004 December Tsunami, David was involved as a volunteer. He flew over Banda Aceh and witnessed the terrible devastation. Whilst living aboard a sailing ship, he worked tirelessly alongside doctors, helping the injured in the remaining villages. Now living in England all year round, David still writes poetry and still does voluntary work, teaching English. He plays the cello, sings in a choir and, spends time with his family.
