ClanDonnell: A Storied History of Ireland, David's first book, won three national literary awards and received universally positive book reviews. ClanDonnell is a collection of true stories of an Irish clan which tell the history of Ireland in an entertaining, easy-to-read fashion. The tone is that of an oral history.
