David EdeyDavid Edey had stints with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as an intelligence officer and at Nortel, retiring right before the company ceased operations. Although much of The Fontana Resurrection is drawn directly from real-life experiences, it is work of fiction. Based on a dream that he had about his mother-in-law, he first wrote it as a short story. After encouragement from family and friends, he extended the story into a full-length piece of fiction, highlighting the story of exploited seniors who are more susceptible to scams.When writing the full version, he traveled to Nova Scotia and British Columbia to research the settings and characters for authenticity.In addition, he co-authored and edited the book, Prairie Crocus: The Clays-Their Family, Friends, and Their Place in Canada's History with Shirley Black.
