David BenacAfter a childhood spent working in the woods and in his father's sawmill in Northern Michigan, David Benac embarked on a scholarly track culminating in the detailed study of how society utilises its natural resources. Benac moved to Indiana and furthr on to Missouri, in each case he noticed the central role of forests in rural society.
