David AxelrodDavid Axelrod is the author of six previous collections of poetry, most recently The Open Hand (University of Washington Press, 2017). An earlier collection, The Cartographer's Melancholy, won the Spokane Prize and was a finalist for the Oregon Book ward. He is also the author of two collections of essays and is the editor of basalt: a journal of fine and literary arts.
