Daryl D GreenDr. Daryl D. Green, DSL, is a transformational business dean, leadership scholar, and change agent who has devoted his life to helping people lead with wisdom in uncertain times. Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, he learned early the values o hard work, faith, and service from his parents, Edward Elias and Annette Green Elias, and his community. Dr. Green earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Southern University, where he also met his wife, civil engineer Estraletta Andrews Green. He later completed a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from Tusculum College and a doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University. His career spans more than three decades in both government and higher education. Before entering academia full-time, he managed more than 400 federal projects worth over $100 million for the U.S. Department of Energy by the age of thirty. In higher education, Dr. Green served as the first Black business professor at Oklahoma Baptist University and now serves as Dean and Full Professor of the School of Business at Langston University, Oklahoma's only HBCU. At Langston, he has led a dramatic turnaround, growing enrollment, elevating national rankings, expanding corporate partnerships, and integrating AI and micro-credentials into business education. His students have scored in the top 1% nationally on the Peregrine Business Exam, and Langston's business school has risen into the top tier of HBCU programs. Raised in a Christian home in the Cedar Grove community of Shreveport, Louisiana, Dr. Green's faith has been shaped through a lifetime of active service and discipleship. Over the decades, he has served faithfully in several churches, including First Baptist Church of Cedar Grove, Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Pasco, Washington, Payne Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee, and St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. His ministry work has included leadership and service through the Christian Soldier Academy, tutoring programs, teaching, deacon service, marriage ministry, and dance and wellness initiatives. These experiences reflect a faith that has been practiced consistently over time through service, leadership, and care for others. A prolific author, Dr. Green has written or co-authored more than fifty books, ebooks, and textbooks on leadership, small business, and personal growth.
