Daniel HeynikeThe author was born in Queenstown in South Africa in 1944. He attended schools in Umtata and in Cape Town and did his military service in the South African Navy. He received a B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engieering from the University of Cape Town. He has worked in South Africa as a consulting engineer, company manager, at municipalities and for the Transvaal Provincial Administration where he received their highest award for meritorious service.
