Daniel ElyDr. Daniel Ely is a retired Professor of Biology and Physiology, National Institute of Health (NIH) funded biomedical researcher, American Heart Association researcher, and NIH reviewer. During his tenure at the University of Akron, Dan was awarded Rsearcher of the Year, Teacher of the Year, and Professor Emeritus. He has over forty years of experience in leadership, teaching, research, and ministry.During his career, he served in many leadership roles and has been the chairman of numerous university and state scientific positions. Dan holds a PhD in Medical Physiology from the University of Southern California. He has spent many years leading and mentoring young couples and students.
