He is licensed as both a psychologist and a marriage counselor. In addition to his private pactice, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, a Clinical Instructor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health at UMDNJ-NJ Medical School, and an adjunct Professor of Psychology at both Seton Hall and Fairleigh Dickinson Universities. He is also a member of the medical staff at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. A former consulting editor for the JOURNAL OF SEX EDUCATION AND THERAPY, and the author of several professional articles, Dr. Watter is board certified in both sex therapy and behavioral medicine.
