Damon KnightDamon Knight (1922-2002) was an American science fiction writer, editor, and critic whose influence on the field extended well beyond his fiction. A central figure in mid-twentieth-century speculative literature, Knight was known for his analytical rgor and insistence on higher literary standards within the genre. His critical work, particularly In Search of Wonder, helped shape modern science fiction criticism.In addition to his stories and novels, Knight played a formative role in building the professional infrastructure of science fiction.
