D. H. Frost

Daveth H. Frost was the Principal of Holy Cross College and University Centre, Bury, Lancashire.

He is the author of ‘Sacrament an Alter: A Tudor Cornish Patristic Catena’ in Cornish Studies: Eleven (2003) and ‘Glsney’s Parish Clergy and the Tregear Manuscript’ in Cornish Studies: Fifteen (2008), both edited by Philip Payton. Daveth has also contributed patristic references and commentary as part of the online Variorum Edition of John Foxe’s Book of Martyrs. He was a part of the advisory committee assisting in the restoration of Llandeilo Talybont at the St Fagan’s National History Museum in Wales and contributed to Saving St Teilo’s: Bringing a Medieval Church to Life edited by Gerallt D. Nash (National Museum of Wales Books 2009).

With special interests in the pre‑Reformation Church in Cornwall, Wales and Brittany, he jointly chairs, with Benjamin Bruch, the editorial board of the UEP series '1,000 Years of Cornish'. His Sacrament an Alter (2023) was the first volume in the series and he is currently working with Dr Myrna Combellack on the second volume, her Bewnans Meriasek. His edition of Ray Mallard's Fred's Way Around Africa, an account of an extraordinary expedition to the continent in the 1950s, will be published by Brewin Books in 2026.
