Célestin BougléCélestin Bouglé (1870-1940) was a professor of the history of social economy and the director of École Normale Supérieure in Paris. He was the key public spokesperson of the Durkheimians in the early 20th century, yet he was critical of Durkheim on sveral issues. He authored dozens of books, only two of which, besides this one, have been translated into English: Essays on the Caste System and The Evolution of Values. Cayce Jamil is an independent researcher based in North Carolina. He holds a PhD in Public Policy from UNC Charlotte. His research investigates neglected social theories and their relevance for today.
