Crystal JosephCrystal Joseph began her storytelling career as a teenager when she made up stories to entertain the children she babysat. When her church asked for presentations during black history month, Crystal, now an adult, performed a skit titled 'Harriet Tubman - I just came to say hi'. It was a one- woman she performed over a period of a year in three different states. When offered the opportunity to write and direct skits and short plays, to be performed by the teenagers in her church, she gladly accepted. The plays usually juxtaposed the natural with the supernatural and people could not get enough. Eventually, she began writing and directing short plays for adults. People were so taken with 'the way her mind works' until she felt compelled to write a book where her creativity would not be limited to what could be done on a stage.
