Cornelis Pieter PietersKees Pieters has a technical background, with degrees in information science and artificial intelligence. In 2010 he defended his PhD in Humanistic Studies on the subject of complex systems and complexity thinking. Complexity thinking is characterise by intertwining science, philosophy, methodology and professional practices. Ever since his defence he has further developed his understanding the role of patterns as precursor of information.
Kees has published on topics of technology, innovation, and their impact on society. He currently lives in the beautiful medieval town of Deventer in his home country of the Netherlands.
