Clifford Whittingham Beers
Clifford Whittingham Beers (1876-1943) was a mental health advocate and founder of the mental hygiene movement in the United States. Beers, who experienced firsthand the challenges of mental illness, dedicated his life to improving mental health cre and raising awareness about mental health issues. His autobiography, 'A Mind That Found Itself,' played a significant role in changing societal attitudes towards mental health and advocating for better treatment and support for individuals with mental illnesses.
