Clara Bow (1905-1965) was the epitome of 1920s Hollywood glamour and the original "It Girl." Bow starred in forty-six silent films and eleven talkies, leaving a mark with iconic roles in Mantrap, It, and Wing. At her peak, she was a box-office sensation, drawing in crowds and ensuring blockbuster success with every appearance. In January 1929 alone, she received over 45,000 fan letters, a testament to her immense popularity. However, after marrying actor Rex Bell in 1931, Bow chose to leave Hollywood behind, retiring to a quiet life on a Nevada ranch. She passed away at sixty, but her legacy as a symbol of the Roaring Twenties endures.
