Christopher Gair is a lecturer in the Department of American and Canadian Studies, University of Birmingham. He is the co-editor of Moving Beyond Boundaries 1: International Dimensions of Black Women's Writing (Pluto, 006) and author of The American Counterculture (Edinburgh University Press, 2006).
