Chris Giarmo Chris Giarmo is an artist and designer living in New Orleans, Louisiana, working in the mediums of music, typography, and drag, amongst others. As a performer, he was most recently seen as a dancer and vocalist in David Byrne’s Aerican Utopia (on a world tour, Broadway, and in the feature film directed by Spike Lee), in Taylor Mac and Matt Ray’s epic queer rock opera Bark Of Millions at the BAM Harvey and the Sydney Opera House, as well as numerous pieces created by Annie-B Parson/Big Dance Theater. He’s composed music for and sound designed theatrical productions by the likes of Tina Satter/Half Straddle, Young Jean-Lee, Jackie Sibblies Drury, Mac Wellman, Trish Harnetiaux, Ariel Stess, Jess Barbagallo, and Sibyl Kempson, with whom he recently collaborated by performing in and sonically staging the radio play version of her play The Securely Conferred, Vouchsafed Keepsakes of Maery S.
