After spending early years of his informatics career at BT, he entered the healthcare world in 2002 with roles in NHS Direct n the North East and Strategic Health Authorities in the South West of England. His expertise in the data flows of the NHS let to a role in a fledgling healthcare enterprise called Assura Medical. Chris was the sole Information Management professional in the organization upon appointment in 2007. Over the next 8 years, he took on increasing responsibilities as the business grew and was subsequently acquired by Virgin in 2010. By 2013, Chris led a team of 40+ technology professionals as Head of Informatics and Business Intelligence.
