Chris CochandJason Racz was the brother to Chris Cochand the author. Jason was a firefighter with the Lethbridge Fire Department in Lethbridge, AB and Penny was his Beagle and best friend. Jason lost his life tragically in 2017 and this story was written to rememer what we loved about him the most. Jason had a huge heart, selfless compassion and a contagious laugh. He wanted to be a firefighter out of a deep desire to help others and had to work twice as hard as everyone else to get there. He is still deeply loved and missed by all of his family and brothers and sisters in uniform.
