Chris CarlsonAuthor Chris Carlson was born in Kellogg and received his B.A.from Columbia and his M.A. from Idaho State. First a journalist, he spent nine years serving as the press secretary for Governor and Interior Secretary Cecil D. Andrus. He was the foundingpartner of The Gallatin Group. Two life-threatening diseases forced an early retirement but he took up writing a weekly political column and has writtten four books during retirement.
