CHARLES ROBERTSCharles Roberts was born in 1939 and lived in Rosebery Street, Liverpool. When he befriended Colin Hanton, Colin introduced him to his friends who had a skiffle group called The Quarrymen, led by a rebel called John Lennon. When organising their stret party in June 1957, Charlie suggested that they ask The Quarrymen to perform, which they agreed to do. Charlie borrowed a camera and took some photos of the group, which turned out to be the very first photographs of John Lennon and The Quarrymen performing. As well as the pictures that day, Charlie ended up hanging around with John and his new friends Paul McCartney and George Harrison.
