Charles Gavan Duffy
Sir Charles Gavan Duffy (1816-1903) was an Irish nationalist, journalist, and editor. He played a significant role in the Young Ireland movement and was a prominent advocate for Irish independence. Dr. George Sigerson (1839-1925) was an Irish physcian, writer, and politician known for his contributions to literature and culture. Dr. Douglas Hyde (1860-1949) was an Irish scholar, linguist, and cultural revivalist who founded the Gaelic League. His efforts in promoting the Irish language and culture were instrumental in the Irish literary revival.
